Roofing - New & Repair

To protect the structural integrity of your home, you want to take care of your roof before it develops a leak.
Most residential roofs are covered with asphalt or fiberglass shingles. This flexible roofing material is relatively easy to install and contains granules that help the material repel water. These shingles come in different grades with guarantees often lasting 20, 25 or 30 years, depending on the grade.
That means your roof has a limited lifespan, depending on the type of roofing material that was used. For that reason, it's important for you to know the grade of shingle that was used and when it was installed.

Siding & Insulation

New siding will rejuvenate an older home, give it a completely new look, and significantly reduce cost for home upkeep and maintenance. It will protect the home from elements and eliminate the need for costly, frequent repainting.
Most Realtors will tell you that it is necessary to replace your defective siding if you wish to sell your home in a timely manner and for a good price. You will find that trying to sell your home with defective siding can be major deterrent. If you do get an offer the buyer will almost always want a hefty discount because of your siding. Even if your siding is in good shape, you will usually need to replace it because of the negative stigmatism in the market place.

Windows and Doors

There are many signs that you may need to replace your windows, it could be visible degradation of your existing windows, poor thermal performance or maybe even just the old age of the windows you have.
One of the signs that you may need to replace you old windows is if you really feel the cold when it’s winter and your home feels like a greenhouse in the summer. Windows are designed to be a barrier between the outside and your home – you should be able to have a view and not worry about being uncomfortable and losing money on inefficient energy bills.

Gutters

Installing rain gutters is something that is very important. As a matter of fact, it cannot be expressed how important it is that you have a gutter system on your home and that the system remain clean and able to do its job. If you don’t have one, or yours requires cleaning, you’re looking at a plethora of problems. Unfortunately, this is something that is overlooked by a lot of homeowners because they are simply one of those things that sort of function on their own, making it easy to forget that they need to stay in tip top shape, and that new ones are installed when the existing ones need to be replaced. Without gutters in place, you literally have a moat around your house. This is not good news for you if you have a basement. The basement can easily flood if there are any cracks in your foundation. Casey Roofing and Siding inspects all gutter systems and cleans systems thoroughly, replacing gutters only as needed.
